Less than 2 seconds on the recharge time of Beers AND your health is equal to or less than 60% - ISB More than 2 seconds on the recharge time of Beers AND stagger is greater than or equal to 65% AND you are in a non raid environment - Purifying Brew More than 2 seconds on the recharge time of Beers AND stagger is greater than or equal to 60% AND you are in a non raid environment - Purifying Brew More than 2 seconds on the recharge time of beers AND less than 70% life - ISB More than 3 seconds left of uptime AND stagger is greater than or equal to 40% - Ironskin Brew Less than 2 seconds on the recharge time of beers AND ISB has Less than 2 seconds on the recharge time of Beers - ISB More than 65% stagger AND in a raid environment - Purifying Brew More than 55% Stagger AND in a non raid environment - Purifying Brew Greater than or Equal to 40% stagger AND ISB has more than 3 seconds left of uptime - Purifying Brew Less than or equal to 40% stagger - Ironskin Brew In Depth Beer Management (this can be skipped if you've read the numbered points above) The goal is to live long enough for Fortifying brew, or Blackox Brew to come off cooldown when you are in this situations, so Purifying is typically only used in this situation when you are at obscene amounts of stagger, or the crisis situation has ended. ![]() Just like my Uncle, you're only cool when you are drunk so if you don't have Ironskin Brew going you'll actually become pretty spiky and could go down much faster in this situation. The reason you'd use this last beer on an Ironskin brew is because it will offset a large portion of damage into stagger over 10 seconds which is manageable for your healers. Last Beer - You're going to want to use this with a Paused IronSkin Brew if your health is low or Purify if your health is high and you won't be taking a lot of damage in the near future. Less than 2 Beers - Purify using the same guide line as before if you have black ox brew available, if not try and float a little more stagger damage before doing so. Less than 2 Beers - ISB only when you have dropped to around 70% of your life, or you are about to take some heavy damage Purify whenever you are staggering about half of your health in regular content, or 60% of your health in a raid if you are about to get another beer. If you ever played starcraft this is very similar to how the Immortal unit works.Īt 3 stacks of beer you can use an ISB by default. This is pretty fucking wicked But the tradeoff is the never ending stagger DoT. Due to the nature of stagger unlike most other tanks you can take a Falcon Punch or get mauled by a pile of Kittens and still be at the same amount of health. Stagger will ensure that you are always taking damage, this is unavoidable However, there is a means to pause stagger Effectively mitigating the damage, (more on this later). My damage taken is through the roof! I'm awful - Maybe, Maybe not. You could focus on Mastery to certain breakpoints to become better at dodging, you could focus on crit to improve your incoming heals, or you could focus on haste for brew up time, There will always be an optimal break point for stats on any class, however it isn't essential to your gameplay as a Brew. Haste isn't essential to be effective at the role. For example I am an 875 Ilvl brew with priority on Mastery > Crit > Haste, until recently I had 15% haste baseline. And due to the nature of some talent options there are many viable stat priorities and playstyles that can help you be effective with the brewmaster. Unlike a lot of other classes in Legion, Brewmasters benefit from multiple secondary stats. If I don't have a haste rating of ~30% I won't be effective. ![]() I will cover effective healing orb use in a later portion of the guide. Not true, healing orbs will be used automatically if you run out of range or they are about to despawn, if you don't use them you won't lose them. If you don't use your healing orbs as they spawn, you die. More of this will be covered in the beer management section of the guide. I need to purify red stagger right away - Not necessarily, depending on your incoming heals, your current health and the incoming damage you might be better off sitting on the stagger for a few seconds until you have more beer and can afford to clear the stagger. ![]() Ironskin Brew Needs 100% uptime - Not true, Ironskin brew is great to use to mitigate Postpone incoming damage over the course of 10 seconds, if you aren't taking a lot of damage then you don't need to waste the beer on it.
